There are several different Quarter Pony registries, and the Quarter Pony Association felt that even though some of the registries were handling the registration process well, most of them needed help with the items we call Membership Services.
These Membership Services include:
Shows ~ Planning, Advertising, Sponsoring, Promoting, & Show Results
Judges ~ Certifying/Approving, Educating, Monitoring, & Posting Contact Information
Inspectors ~ Ensuring Inspectors are trained, Post Contact Information, & recruit inspectors where needed
Quarter Pony Information ~ Monthly Newsletters, Special Announcements, & Breed Specific Information
Points & Awards ~ Updating Points monthly, Issuing Awards, Announcing Award Winners
Tracking Population ~ List # of ponies, breeders, trainer, owners, etc. in each region
Governing Board & Officers ~ Ensuring that all regions are represented in decisions
& Ensuring that all pony types are represented
Monitoring Registries ~ The QPA will also continue to monitor the registration and business process
of all affiliated registries.
You do not have to own a Quarter Pony to be a member. You can apply for membership directly through QPA. But to receive papers you will have to apply thru the registry of your choice. However, Points & Awards are maintained by QPA only if you register your pony with an Affiliated Registry.
