I started 11 years ago with the idea of a new type of pony. I had never heard of a Quarter Pony, but knew in my mind what I wanted to raise. Something that looked JUST like a quarter horse, but small enough I could ride them. Since I am only 5' tall, I never looked right riding a big horse. Originally, I just wanted a few for myself and my children, but eventually my friends wanted some too.
AND THEN... I found out that there was a Quarter Pony Registry. I immediately dug in and worked to get my ponies added to the books. I am very proud of my stock. Not only because of their looks, but more so for their attitudes. They aren't just another mouth to feed, they are a part of our family.
As such, our older HR bred ponies are leased and never sold. We do however make sure we sell all weanlings....before we get too attached! If you are interested in adding one of these fine ponies to your pasture, just contact us and we will make sure it happens. Our goal is not to get rich off these ponies, but to find the best possible home.
